I started a Painting Forum enabling those of house painting fields helping build one-way links back to them. Saw a problem with many forums out there, in that most have a limit of text links in signature, having more than 3 is considered “Spammy” I don’t buy that as search engines read and is accepted for web sites having 10-15 keywords/phrases in meta content.
So… in the forum I started, using the limit of characters in signature/profile to 600, not 200, and not limiting text links if profile to a small number of 3. Furthermore, seeing another opp. with forums in general, I started a Thread specifically set aside for blog article links to boot, giving back to the community and industry, making more SEO Forum Friendly.
